26/01468/PTPO - Works to trees protected by TPO Pending Consideration

Proposal

TPO350: Sycamore (T1-T4) Large mature sycamores within a confined residential setting. Lower branches are encroaching into neighbouring gardens and towards nearby buildings. The proposed works involve lifting and selectively reducing the lowest branches to provide reasonable clearance from boundaries and structures. Works will be carried out using target pruning to suitable growth points, retaining the trees' natural form, amenity value and overall crown structure. The works are considered proportionate and appropriate to manage encroachment, improve the relationship between the trees and surrounding properties, and reduce the need for more extensive pruning in the future. T1: Remove the two lowest encroaching branches back to the main stem. T2 & T3: Remove the two lowest encroaching branches back to the main stem and reduce the next three branches by approximately 2 to 3 metres using target pruning. T4: Remove the four lowest encroaching branches back to the main stem and reduce the next three branches by approximately 2 to 3 metres using target pruning. T5 Ash (self-set): Reduce branches as necessary to provide 3 metres clearance from the building and roofline using target pruning. Data via plota.co.uk
