Tree Preservation Order EL:183 - T1 Chestnut approximately 16m in height with a crown spread of 9m. Fell to ground level due to the tree being dead. Reason for the proposed works: The tree is dead and should be removed in the interests of safety. The client is willing to undertake replacement planting; however, a suitable location within the garden is requested rather than replanting in the original position. A service trench has recently been excavated in close proximity to the base of the existing tree, likely severing a significant proportion of the root system. Replanting in the same location may therefore expose the replacement tree to similar constraints and reduce its long term establishment potential in the future. A replacement tree will be planted in an alternative suitable location within the garden, to be agreed with the Local Planning Authority if required. Data via plota.co.uk
