BH2026/02365 - Tree Works in Conservation Area Registered

Proposal

As Per Supplied Plan T1 - Cork Oak Reduce crown to live growth, approximatey 2 metres and remove remaining deadwood. Approximately 8m in height. Approximately 4m all-round crown spread. Proposed work to reduce branches to live growth, in some places it is up to approximately 2m. The tree is located on the sea front and is open to sea air and wind, the tree looks to be wind blown causing the end of the branches to die off or appear to look dead. The intention of the proposed is to encourage the tree to produce more live growth, leaving the tree at an approximate height of 6m and an approximate crown spread of 3m. The suggested works will not affect their amenity value. The proposal is unlikely to have an adverse impact either on the health of the tree or the character and amenities of the local area.
