26/02886/TCA - Tree - Notification of Works in a CA In progress

Proposal

I am writing to request permission to carry out pruning works to a Field Maple tree situated to the rear of my clients property, which is located on Council-owned land. We would like to undertake a side reduction of approximately 2 metres to provide sufficient clearance between the tree and our building. The proposed works are intended to maintain an appropriate clearance while allowing the tree to remain healthy and safely managed. We would be grateful if you could confirm whether permission can be granted for these works and advise if there are any specific requirements or conditons. Data via plota.co.uk

Wellingborough conservation area
Demolition needs planning permission and permitted development is restricted.
The council must give weight to preserving or enhancing the area's character and appearance. Not every council has published its boundaries as open data.

On the register of historic places assessed as at risk.
A designated building, monument, park or conservation area assessed as at risk from neglect, decay or development. Proposals that secure its future are looked on favourably.

Radon affected area, class 5
An estimated 10 to 30% of homes reach the radon action level. Indicative for the 1 km square, which takes the highest class found in it; a radon test gives the answer for a building.
From the British Geological Survey and UK Health Security Agency indicative atlas. Under building regulations, as the BRE guide BR 211 (2023) sets out, new buildings and extensions need basic radon protection from class 3 in England and Wales and from class 2 in Scotland, and full protection from class 5. The class at the site itself, from the detailed BGS map, decides which.
