Proposal
T2 - Fraxinus excelsior Common ash 8m 70mm; 90mm 2m Semi-Mature -Ivy and brambles precludes DBH measurement, so DBH estimated. Approximately 35% defoliated. Likely chalara. Limited life expectancy - Remove T10 - Fraxinus excelsior Common ash 15m 360mm 7m Early-Mature - Sparse crown suggesting vitality is suboptimal. 20cm from wall, history of branch drop over the footpath - Given its condition, position, and limited long-term amenity value, retention is not considered appropriate. Removal is therefore proposed in the interests of public safety and sound arboricultural management. T11 - Prunus sp. Prunus 6m 280mm Early-Mature Hard to see due to wall but appears a dead stem testing upon the wall covered in ivy. - Remove T14 - Aesculus hippocastanum Horse chestnut 16m 950mm 4m Mature - Fine vitality with leaf miner/blotch .Partially ivy clad and set upon bank. Significant included codominant union with high aspect ratio. Union would be characterized a s a wide-mouthed bark-included junction, without any obvious natural bracing. One stem has been girdled by a foreign body and has grown around it. Large seam wound to principle lateral 2nd order scaffold extending over wall and onto road, which is historic and mostly occluded. Downgraded due to sever biomechanical defect. - Due to proximity to road and poor union a reduction of 20-30% is recommended to reduce wind loading on compromised union. Road seems low occupancy but may be subject to trafficking during term time. Proposed final height 13m, Proposed crown spread 10m, Crown lift retained at 4m. Data via plota.co.uk
