Proposal
T1. Mature pollarded Goat Willow. Height 4 metres, crown spread 2 metres. This self-seeded tree is growing on the boundary between the owner and the neighbour , and overhangs both properties and the adjacent garage. The tree has been periodically pollarded to manage its size, and this work is now due to be repeated. Remove regrowth of between one and three metres in length, back to previous pollard cuts, leaving pruning cuts of 40 mm maximum. T2. Semi-mature ash tree. Height 5 metres, crown spread 3 metres. This tree is suffering from Chalara ash dieback disease. In the last year it has dropped several dead branches, causing some damage to the adjacent swimming pool. It is intended to remove the tree before it inevitably becomes more hazardous. Fell to ground level. The amenity value of the surrounding area will not be affected by the proposed tree work. The applicants garden and all surrounding areas are well supplied with other mature trees and shrubs. Data via plota.co.uk

Checked on 6 October 2026. The pin for this application is the centre of its postcode rather than the building, so distances to nearby designations are measured from the postcode and can be out by the width of the postcode area. A boundary can run through a site and the council holds the definitive record: confirm with the council before relying on this.
