26/01045/TPO - Work to tree with existing TPO Pending Consideration

Proposal

T1 Cedar - Remove completely as the cones are emitting clouds of pollen, which have caused an allergic reaction in a family member, resulting in breathing difficulties. The branch with the cones overhangs the footpath, so passing pedestrians could be unknowingly affected/contaminated. The Cedar is viewed as unsuitable for a small domestic front garden; it is of poor form with surface roots spreading across the lawn. Have received and viewed advice that Cedar trees should be a minimum of 12m (40ft) from a dwelling. Replacement planting of a more suitable species, such as Rowan or Holly, is suggested that are more suitable for wildlife. Data via plota.co.uk

Site constraints 7

Sutton conservation area
Demolition needs planning permission and permitted development is restricted.
The council must give weight to preserving or enhancing the area's character and appearance. Not every council has published its boundaries as open data.

Tree preservation order: Sutton House Sutton
Consent is needed before work on protected trees. A single protected tree within 15 m, nearest 15 m.
Not every council has published its orders as open data, so no order shown is not proof there is none.
Habitat network: Network Enhancement Zone 2
Where habitat is joined up enough to work as a network. Context, not a constraint on its own.
Also on the record

Outside flood zones 2 and 3 · Not green belt · No scheduled monument at the site

Checked on 13 October 2026. Historic England, the Environment Agency, Natural England and council datasets, Open Government Licence. A boundary can run through a site and the council holds the definitive record: confirm with the council before relying on this.
