Pruning extents will vary according to the size and form of each tree, with branch reductions ranging between approximately 1 metre and 3 metres. Reason: The trees are used by roosting birds, resulting in bird droppings accumulating on playground equipment and surfaces used daily by nursery children. The proposed works are intended to reduce bird roosting opportunities directly above the play area and minimise the associated health and safety concerns whilst retaining the trees' amenity value.
