Reason for works: The tree has an established history of pollarding and has produced vigorous regrowth from the previous pruning points. It is situated within a very small front garden, immediately adjacent to the property boundary and a busy main road. The proposed works form part of the tree’s ongoing cyclical management. Returning the regrowth to the established pruning points will maintain the tree at a size appropriate for its restricted location, manage the increasing length and weight of the regrown stems, and retain a compact, balanced crown.
