Proposal
Following the attached tree survey the below work has been requested: 1801 – Yew Works: Reduce crown by 2–3m. Dimensions: Height 10m | Crown spread 5m. Reason: The tree is outgrowing its location, with the south-western canopy encroaching on guttering. The canopy also casts significant shade over the neighbouring garden, and the adjacent occupier has raised concerns regarding falling berries, particularly as they have young children. A crown reduction will provide suitable clearance and improve management of the tree within its setting. 1823 – Silver Maple Works: Reduce crown by 3–4m overall and remove deadwood. Dimensions: Height 21m | Crown spread 11m. Reason: Mature tree showing signs of physiological stress, including inner canopy epicormic growth, apical decline and significant deadwood. A crown reduction will reduce end-weight, improve safety over the adjacent recreation area and facilitate ongoing monitoring of the tree's condition. 1833 – Common Oak Works: Reduce lateral branches by 2–3m and remove deadwood. Dimensions: Height 26m | Crown spread 11m. Reason: Large tree adjacent to footpaths with extensive deadwood and evidence of decay associated with a principal limb. Crown reduction and deadwood removal are recommended to reduce risk while further investigations are undertaken to inform long-term management. 1838 – Pittosporum Works: Prune canopy to provide 2m clearance from gutters. Dimensions: Height 7m | Crown spread 6m. Reason: The northern canopy is encroaching on the adjacent building and fouling guttering. Pruning will provide appropriate clearance whilst retaining the tree's natural form. Data via plota.co.uk
