Proposal

H1 - Yew hedge, we have previously reduced the hedge as per our older application. We are wanting to side the hedge right back to stems, uncovering a wall underneath and gaining more room in the vehicle turning circle. The hedge protrudes out by 3 - 4 meters in areas and once cut right back will become thicker and better atheistically (over time) T1 - Japanese Holly, to remove x3 stems as tree is leaning precarious into playing field and will enevitabley end up failing T2 - Yew, push back limbs from building as per images attached. Grade II listed: The Rodney School
List entry 1045492 · 3 m away
Listed building consent is needed for work that affects the special interest of a listed building, inside or out, on top of planning permission. Setting can be a consideration for buildings nearby; there is no fixed radius.

Kirklington conservation area
Demolition needs planning permission and permitted development is restricted.
The council must give weight to preserving or enhancing the area's character and appearance. Not every council has published its boundaries as open data.

Habitat network: Network Enhancement Zone 1
Where habitat is joined up enough to work as a network. Context, not a constraint on its own.
Also on the record
Inside the Kirklington built-up area; Priority habitat 33 m away: Deciduous woodland; Natural England's Provisional ALC map (1:250,000, 1970s) had this area as grade 2, but it predates the buildings here and the current map does not class it as farmland.
Not affected
Outside flood zones 2 and 3 · Not green belt · No scheduled monument at the site

Checked on 12 October 2026. Historic England, the Environment Agency, Natural England and council datasets, Open Government Licence. A boundary can run through a site and the council holds the definitive record: confirm with the council before relying on this.
