26/00008/TREECA - Works to/Fell Tree in Conservation Area Approved

Proposal

T1. Hazel (Corylus avellana) in NE corner of garden. Action: coppice and allow to re-grow, establishing a regular coppicing cycle. Reason: this large multi-stemmed tree has been allowed to grow unchecked for too long and is shading-out nearby trees plus extending too close to an outbuilding. T2. Cherry (Prunus avium) in NE corner of garden next to T1. Action: fell and kill stump with herbicidal EcoPlugs. Reason: this is a self-seeded tree growing from the foundations of one of our outbuildings, and will eventually cause serious problems if left to continue growing. Data via plota.co.uk
