BH2026/02407 - Tree Works in Conservation Area Registered

Proposal

Back Garden T1 - Eucalyptus Remove Northern stem back to source. Reduce remaining by up to 1 metre to balance and shape. Back Garden Right Side T2 - Pittosporum Reduce height by approximately 2 metres. This height is governed by the height that climbers can reach. Remove 2 stems closest to conservatory. Trimming all sides to neaten and shape. Works are for general upkeep and maintenance of the garden. The stem at the base of the Eucalyptus is at a 90-degree angle starting from the underneath of the Pittosporum. Removing the stem highlighted by the red arrow would relieve some stress?s on the stem, preserving the tree for a bit longer. With the reducing of the Pittosporum is to maintain at a more suitable size for the location. Data via plota.co.uk

Site constraints 3

Pembroke and Princes conservation area
Demolition needs planning permission and permitted development is restricted.
The council must give weight to preserving or enhancing the area's character and appearance. Not every council has published its boundaries as open data.

Radon affected area, class 5
An estimated 10 to 30% of homes reach the radon action level. Indicative for the 1 km square, which takes the highest class found in it; a radon test gives the answer for a building.
From the British Geological Survey and UK Health Security Agency indicative atlas. Under building regulations, as the BRE guide BR 211 (2023) sets out, new buildings and extensions need basic radon protection from class 3 in England and Wales and from class 2 in Scotland, and full protection from class 5. The class at the site itself, from the detailed BGS map, decides which.
