Description
The tree identified is one of two holly trees with TPOs. The tree in question is the the one on the right, (East), as shown in the location plan and attached photographs. I have consulted with Bowlby Tree Services who has inspected the tree and has advised:- > The left handside of the tree has snapped out due rot within the main stem and the weight of ivy. > This has left the right hand side vulnerable to eventual collapse. > Concerns are that the rot will spread across to the other side and this needs to be addressed. The recommendation from James Bowlby of Bowlby Tree Services is to:- 1. To have a reduction to take out the weight from the right side to prevent future potential on snapping out from the low crown break, or 2. Either a removal/cut to ground level to re grow - this would be our preference. Work to remove all the shrubbery and ivy to be commenced as soon as possible - this work has been schedules for 15th/16th June.
