TC/26/00050 - Works to Trees in a Conservation Area Approved

Proposal

1) Three Hawthorn Trees (A) (B) & (C) L/H boundary currently 5 metres tall, all are infested with ivy which is strangling the subject trees and the weight of the ivy is destabilising the trees which are now listing away from upright. I propose to reduce the tree height to approximately 1.5 metres tall and remove the ivy which will encourage the trees to re-establish the hedgerow and continue to provide a habitat for local wildlife. 2) The R/H boundary hedgerow has increased in height to approximately 6 / 7 metres in recent years, creating shadow and restricting growth of other vegetation in the garden. The hedgerow includes two conifer Fir trees and an elderly apple tree. I propose to reduce the two Conifer Fir Trees (E) & (F) by 1.5 metres and also the apple tree (D) by 1.5 metres to encourage lower growth. Data via plota.co.uk
