Officer report
What officers recommended

What consultees said
Highways, environmental protection, drainage and several other consultees raised no objection subject to measures, while Anglian Water objected over sewage capacity.
“Environmental Protection Services (SKDC) 5.2.1 Final comments 12-8-2025 - Environmental Protection are satisfied that based upon the further acoustic assessment on a “worst-case scenario” of the quarry stone cutting activities, with a proposed acoustic barrier along the boundary with Sleaford Road there would not be an adverse impact to the proposed development (impact predicted to be -2db below the PPG) and importantly Environmental protection consider that the proposed…”
“Whilst we have no objection to this application, we would like to draw the applicant’s attention to the following informative comments: Advice to the Local Planning Authority Water recycling centre capacity The evidence available to us demonstrates that the Ancaster Water Recycling Centre is at or near its permitted limits. Additional flows from new developments such as this could lead to the works causing pollution of the receiving watercourse.”
Officer report
What members debated
Members discussed density, road safety, sewage capacity, drainage, quarry noise and dust, open-space management, landscaping and affordable housing.
“The proximity from the site to the nearby quarry was queried. It was noted that noise from the quarry had been mitigated by a barrier. • It was queried whether an airborne articulate and dust survey had taken place in terms of the impact of the quarry on potential residents on the proposed site.”
“The Senior Planning Officer clarified that condition 12 required a submission of the landscape and ecology management plan which would deal with management responsibilities. The plan would also be part of any S106 agreements in the form of securing the open space (informal and formal) an ensure ongoing management.”
