Officer report

Why officers recommended approval

Officers considered the proposal acceptable in scale, form, layout, access, parking, residential amenity, drainage and heritage terms, subject to conditions.

“The proposed residential development of 21 units is acceptable in terms of scale and form and respect the site and its surroundings and will be sympathetic with the built form and appearance of the area. There should be no significant detrimental affect on the amenities of any of the neighbouring properties because of this proposal, given the previous approvals on site and the existing separation distance from the closest residential properties.”

“Re-consultation with Rivers Agency was carried out and they are content subject to a condition relating to the submission of a drainage assessment, prior to the construction of the drainage network. I am content this is reasonable and should be applied to any planning permission. I am satisfied that the proposal complies with SETT 1 and is therefore acceptable.”

Who spoke
