Planning history

There was no planning history on the application site, although earlier farm buildings had been demolished for industrial development.

“The introduction of PPS21 resulted in Greenbelts being removed and a new suite of policies for development in the countryside. SPPS Edition 2– Strategic Planning Policy Statement for Northern Ireland: The SPPS ED2 provides a regional framework of planning policy that will be taken into account of in the preparation of Mid Ulster’s Local Development Plan. At present, no Plan Strategy has been adopted.”

“…previous farm buildings at 67 Farlough Road were previously demolished to facilitate the development of industrial buildings under permissions LA09/2019/1567/F and LA09/2020/1433/F. - the design and materials to be used are sympathetic to the locality and adjacent buildings; - The building has a standard agricultural design and appearance commonly found throughout the NI countryside.”
