Officer report

Why officers recommended approval

The proposed traditional timber features, careful render removal and like-for-like soffit repair were considered an improvement with no significant heritage harm.

“The proposal is to replace the unsympathetic modern uPVC windows and doors with traditional timber casement windows and timber door, repair the soffit, and remove the lime mortar render added without consent. This is to ensure that the exterior and detailing of this listed building are in keeping with the other listed buildings on the street and in harmony with the character of the Trinity Conservation Area.”

“PUBLIC SECTOR EQUALITY DUTY 6.07 Due regard has been had to the Public Sector Equality Duty, as set out in Section 149 of the Equality Act 2010. It is considered that the application proposals would not undermine objectives of the Duty. CONCLUSION 7.01 In conclusion, it is considered that the proposal would not cause significant harm to the appearance and setting of the listed building, or the setting of the Trinity Conservation Area.”
