The site and surroundings

The site is a former industrial warehouse and yard beside Deptford Creek, surrounded by residential, creative, educational and commercial uses.

“To the north of the site lies the Deptford Creekside faculty of Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance. There are commercial premises on the eastern side of the Creek (within LB Greenwich). Sue Godfrey Nature Reserve and Ferranti Park lie on the opposite side of Creekside, whilst residential properties lie within the Crossfield Estate to the west of the application site. On the opposite side of Deptford Creek is the Tideway Greenwich Pumping Station site.”

There were 61 objections and 253 support letters; objections covered height, design, daylight, student accommodation, construction, infrastructure and ecology, while consultees largely raised no objections subject to conditions.
