“The Chelsea Creek forms the southernmost part of the site. Chelsea Creek forms part of the River Thames and its tidal tributaries, which are designated as a Site of Importance for Nature Conservation (SINC). This means that the site is recognised for its ecological value.”
“The surrounding area predominately comprises residential dwellings, commercial and educational uses. To the south is Waterman Tower and beyond that the residential buildings of Chelsea Harbour, as well as the Design Centre, all of which are located within LBHF.”

Earlier permissions for replacing the northern creek bank were granted in 2022 but were not implemented and have expired.
