“Members of the Planning Committee considered the officer’s report which was presented by the Planning Consultant. The application sought the replacement of grass stadium pitch with 3G artificial grass stadium pitch including retaining structures, fencing, floodlights, storage container and new car park with street lights.”

“Since publication of the report, an arboricultural report had been added as an approved document to protect the roots to two prominent trees located in the north-west corner of the site. As a result, condition 10 as contained with the officer’s report was to be deleted, and the recommendations contained within the arboricultural report to be implemented as part of the development.”

“Member’s attention was also drawn to two anomalies within the officer’s report: • page 19 of the agenda pack – the third paragraph references lighting columns. Members were advised there are five 8-metre-high lighting columns proposed around the parking area, and the proposed lighting to the northern pitch area will consist of eight 15-metre-high lighting columns which focus the light on the pitch facility and minimise any extraneous light elsewhere in terms of light spill;…”

“That the application be approved, subject to conditions as set out in the appendix to the officer’s report and amended conditions as outlined by the Planning Consultant.”
