Notice of intent to carry out works to trees protected by Tree Preservation Order TPO - 9/76 A1 Ash (Fraxinus excelsior) T1 on plan-Reduce tree to a monolith at a safe height, leaving the monolith as habitat creation to mediate the loss. (monolith will be carried out at a safe height where it can decay undisturbed, @circa 3m). New specimen tree will be replanted to help mediate loss of cover. Reason:-White rot & Inonotus hispidus bracket marks were found throughout the knuckles (The tree has previously been pruned/pollarded aggressively). All the pollard points where overstood epicormic have emerged from have cavities and white rot present. A number of overstood epi growth has started failing. Columnar decay is present in main stem wood. It is in immediate falling distance of the property which would cause significant damage or threat to life if a leader were to fail. Data via plota.co.uk
