26/01717/TCA - Tree - Notification of Works in a CA In progress

Proposal

T1 - Mature Weeping Beech - Crown lift the southern and south-western canopy overhanging the rear garden of The Old White Lion, 38 Queen Street, Geddington, to provide a minimum clearance of 3 metres above ground level. Remove low hanging pendulous secondary growth and branch extremities over the garden seating and amenity areas. Undertake a lateral reduction of the overhanging canopy by up to 2 metres, pruning back to suitable growth points in accordance with BS3998:2010 Tree Work Recommendations. Remove branches currently approaching or making contact with the ground within the applicant's property Reason for Works: The canopy extends approximately 4 metres beyond the boundary into the applicant's rear garden. Lower branches have developed to a height that restricts access, maintenance and normal use of the garden, including the principal seating and recreation areas. The proposed works are limited to crown lifting and sympathetic lateral reduction to provide reasonable clearance and reduce excessive end-weight on overextended branches whilst maintaining the health, form and amenity value of the tree… Data via plota.co.uk
