Proposal

T1 Beech - The tree has recently suffered from some primary limb loss. The crown has suffered some lower canopy damage over the road due to the canopy being to low over the road. The work we wish to carry out is to reduce remaining canopy by 2-3m to suitable growth points. To prevent further wind throw or limb loss, crown lift to 5.5m over the road and drive. Remove any deadwood within the canopy. T2 Turkey Oak - This tree is growing between two properties. The tree has been visibly reduced in height some years ago with potential decay now at the reduction point. The tree was also heavily pruned back to the main stem on the south side facing property number 4. More recently the tree has be heavily reduced/pollard on the north side over the neighbouring property of 3A with remaining lateral branches being about 3-4m long. This is showing signs of good regrowth. In the upper canopy over number 4 the canopy is showing sings of die back. The remining canopy of the tree is unbalanced. I would like to propose that we carry out a retrenchment pollard to the tree bringing the finished height down to around 10m or to below the possible decay in the main stem at the old reduction point on the main stem . I would like to cut back the remaining lateral branches to leave up to 3-4m on the east ,west and south side to match the recently reduced north side. This would then leave a more balanced shape to the tree. Data via plota.co.uk
