Local Centre, Redcar Road, Towcester
Description
Due to the site’s varying levels, retaining walls and steps are proposed throughout to ensure safe and practical access. Access and parking arrangements for refuse vehicles and fire appliances are clearly defined, with appropriate white lining and bollards indicated. The bin store has been repositioned and is now enclosed with close-boarded fencing, with separate provision made for different waste items. Proposed landscaping has been incorporated across the site to enhance visual amenity. Amendments have been made to the side elevations of Units 3–7 to facilitate construction requirements, improve head heights over staircases and enhance overall accessibility. [Amendmendments to 2025/1448/MAR (access, appearance, landscaping, layout and scale) in respect of the main local centre comprising of a convenience store, 6 no. shop units, and 6 no. flats and 5 no. houses pursuant to outline application S/2007/0374/OUTWNS]
