PA26/01748 - Tree Preservation Order Refused

Proposal

Works to trees subject to a Tree Preservation Order, namely 1) 3 x Oak Trees on the rear boundary of Vellenoweth and 6 Fir Close to be removed. The trees are growing out of a Cornish Hedge between the two bungalows and are huge. The gap between the properties is approximately 4 metres. The branches are lying on the roof of Fir Close and causing damp issues within the property. The concern is that they are causing structural damage to the roofs and the guttering etc. Although they appear to be healthy trees they are far too big for the location and the worry is branches will fall onto the house should another storm hit. The hedge will not continue to support the root system of the trees. The Fir Close property has mould issues which is causing anxiety to the owner. Data via plota.co.uk
