Proposal

T1 Oak Tree adjacent to driveway entrance - Following the clients concerns having found a fungal fruiting body at the base of the tree it has been assessed. It is believed that the fungal bracket that was removed from the base is ganoderma resinaceum. There is a patch of mechanical damage on the north side buttress where the fruiting body was located. The tree has above average deadwood throughout the crown and overhangs the driveway and road with an offset crown biased to the south and west. Current crown spread: North 3m, east 4m, south 9m, west 9m and height 17M. Recommendations for works: Remove all major deadwood and crown reduce by up to 3m in height and 3m lateral spread leaving a residual crown radius of 6m on the south and west sides and a finished height of 14m. Crown lift to 5m over the carriageway and 3m over the garden. This will reduce the mechanical loading on the base of the main stem and aid retention of the tree. Data via plota.co.uk
