Willow House 2 Keswick Court Bardsey Leeds LS17 9PG
Description
T1 - Weeping Willow (Salix Babylonica). Proposed Works: Reduce only the north-western overhang laterally by approximately 2-3 metres to suitable pruning points. The tree currently exhibits a significant lean towards the garden and has several substantial limbs overhanging both 1 and 2 Keswick Court. During my initial inspection, I observed visual indications of a minor fracture beginning to develop on one of the main limbs, which may eventually fail. This is of particular concern given that willow trees are well known for their tendency to shed limbs. From a professional arboricultural perspective, the tree may also benefit from a pollard in the future to encourage more manageable regrowth, improve overall structure and shape, and help reduce the likelihood of significant limb failure.
Leeds ranks #136 out of 292 councils for householder decision speed. Leeds is also one of the strictest councils - it refuses more householder applications than almost any other, with only 84% approved vs 90% nationally.
