Description

(T1) Western Red Cedar - Has three codominant stems near the base of the tree with tight V-shaped crotches forming weak unions (see attached photos). The tree has another multi stem union approximately half way up one of the main stems with an old wound left by a previous failed limb which has visible signs of wood decomposition (see attached photo). There are also several crossing limbs which show visible signs of rubbing (see attached photos). The tree currently has an old Cable Brace installed which requires replacing due to its age. Reduce height of crown by up to 5m to suitable growth so that final height is 18m to mitigate wind stress. Selectively reduce protruding radial limbs by up to 2m so that final radial spread is 4.5m to shape and balance tree. Remove crossing limbs. Remove old Cable Brace and install new 8 tonne Cobra Brass. Data via plota.co.uk
