Proposal

Install concrete ramp for disabled access to the front of the property within the confines of the front garden. New Ramp 1:12 gradient to meet with new level platform area, as shown on plan, with a brushed concrete non slip surface. Upper platform to be flush with existing level threshold to door and provide level wheelchair access. Ramp to be constructed as follows: ? Insitu concrete minimum thickness 100mm, including 100mm high by 50mm wide kerb / up-stand to exposed sides and a drainage channel where the ramp butts up against the existing structure. Brushed non-slip finish. ? Ramp to have a minimum width of 1000mm between handrails. ? Length to be approximately 2160mm, confirmed on site prior to construction. ? Ramp to be laid over 150mm minimum thickness consolidated hardcore. ? Kee Klamp Handrails fixed 900mm above concrete ramp. Handrails to extend 300mm from the bottom of the ramp / step. Handrails to be finished in black powder coat. ? Steps down from ramp and break in handrails as indicated on plan (2 risers approx 100mm each). ? Install aco drainage channel where platform meets house to protect the property. ? Top landing to be approx 1500w x 1600d ? clear width between kerbs / up-stands and face of property. ? Bottom landing area to be 1500w x 1500d and finish level and smoothly with ramp. ? Contractor to ensure DPC is not breached. NEW PAVING/PATH FOR LANDING AREA & PATH UP TO PAVEMENT As indicated on plan (approx 4.2sqm) - new paving to be laid finishing level and flush to bottom of ramp and providing a sloping path down to the pavement, finished level. ? Excavate to reduced depth not less than 150mm below finished level and cart all spoil off-site. ? Supply and lay construction grade geotextile should site conditions warrant its inclusion. ?
