Description

Field Maple, semi-mature. Consent is sought to crown reduce the tree by 4m. The tree is located on the northern bank of Coxes Millpond and is growing next to a mature ash, which has caused the maple to have a growth-bias over the neighbouring property. The intention is to do most of the reduction on the northern side, which will allow more light in the neighbouring property and lessen the risk from falling branches. Reducing the top of the crown will lessen the overall weight of the tree and allow a more-balanced growth pattern, lowering its centre of gravity and ultimately lessening the risk of failure on the reservoir embankment.
