Description

The proposed works comprise internal and external alterations to improve the usability and condition of the Grade II listed building while preserving its historic fabric. In the basement, a ventilated dry lining system will be installed to help with damp, floor levels will be lowered back to original floor levels, and overall finish improved. Across the upper floors stripped rooms will be refurbished with new joinery, fitted furniture and sanitaryware's, while all surviving historic features, including windows, fireplaces, cornices, architraves and original wall fabric, will be retained. Externally, a new timber-framed glazed rear door and lightwell improvements will enhance light and access without altering the established proportions or materials of the rear elevation. All works have been designed to protect the building's significance and ensure that historic fabric is preserved wherever it survives. Data via plota.co.uk
