Description

Installation of single storey detached garden room (approx 40sqm footprint) within the existing rear garden of 10 Windsor Walk. No work proposed to existing building. No change of use proposed. The proposed Garden Room is required to provide the first fully accessible therapy room on site, including an accessible lobby, WC, integrated storage, an intercom system and a platform lift to ensure step-free access. The main space has been designed with flexibility in mind, enabling it to support both group and individual work. This will include the organisation?s Therapeutic Playgroup for refugee and asylum-seeking families, providing space for group play, movement-based activities and sessions that integrate indoor and outdoor environments. The proposed building will be constructed with sustainable timber framed structure, high performance thermal efficiency fabric to walls and floors and green Sedum roof to enhance biodiversity and retains the openness and function of the garden. Please see Design and Access Statement for more details.
