Description

Works to Tree(s) within a Conservation Area (TCA) Removal and replant of a Monterey Cypress. Good morning Craig, Thank you for your email, and please accept my apologies for the delay in responding. Following my site visit, I made the following observations: ??? The tree group makes a moderate contribution to public visual amenity. ??? There has been significant branch loss associated with storm damage. ??? There are potential targets on all sides, increasing risk exposure. ??? The species demonstrates a limited physiological capacity to tolerate further crown reduction. ??? There are exposed limbs and compromised branch structure, which may increase the likelihood of further failure. When balancing the tree???s public visual amenity value against its current condition, structural integrity, and the ongoing management and risk implications, removal and replanting would represent the most pragmatic management option. This approach would allow for the replacement of the tree with a more appropriate species, giving long-term amenity benefits. I ope this is helpful. A good tree surgery company should be able to assist with the submission of a planning application, should this be required. Kind regards, Andrew Bastiani MArborA Forestry and Ecology Officer Cornwall Council M: 07736624918 0300 1234 202 www.cornwall.gov.uk ???Onen hag oll??? Please let us know if you need any particular assistance from us, such as facilities to help with mobility, vision or hearing, or information in a different format. As you will see from above the trees have already been identified and can be found not only via communication with Andrew, but by searching the application. In short there is a run of Marco carpus trees near the entrance to the property, on the right hand side as one enters. Cornwall c
