Description
T1 Sycamore. Multi-stemmed tree. Central limb significantly decayed at base - approx 1/3rd of radial thickness of stem remains as sound wood when probed. When examined with a nylon mallet, resonance was typical of a hollowing cavity. Application is to remove central, decayed stem to origin at approx 1.5m from ground. This stem is approx 400mm diameter. Surrounding, remaining 4 stems are between approx 600-800mm diameter. Other defects, decay and atypical morphology exist around the base of the tree. A further survey is scheduled for when the tree is in leaf to establish physiological health. Cobra bracing is to be installed in the Spring. Deadwood above 25mm to be removed. Data via plota.co.uk
