Consultation from North York Moors for variation of conditions attached to planning permission NYM/2017/0505/MEIA (Woodsmith Mine and Ladycross Plantation) to allow amendments (part retrospective) to the approved development. At Woodsmith Mine, removal of the annual polyhalite production restriction, revisions to the layout of surface development including; redesign and relocation of the ventilation shaft and temporary winding headframe with associated installation of ventilation fan house; installation of Bulk Air Cooling (BAC) plant and associated refrigeration and heat exchange infrastructure, amendments to the Production and Service Shaft buildings to accommodate a logistics hub; relocation of the Welfare Building and associated car parking; relocation of a redesigned substation; reconfiguration of landscape bunds; revision of the surface water drainage scheme, retention of north and south facility hub buildings and retention of ancillary infrastructure. At Ladycross Plantation, revisions to the layout of surface development including; the retention of the relocated Minerals Transport System (MTS) shaft and associated erection of headhouse building and ancillary infrastructure and; reduction of the final landform, including removal of approved waste management facilities (Ref MEIA/2026/00139)
