Description

We would like to reduce the height of our chimney stack to below the roof line, retiling the roof directly above the reduced chimney stack, so that we can fully populate this south facing roof with solar panels for a new solar battery system. Our builder neighbour, at number 17, has experience of this kind of chimney stack as he completely removed his own in the last couple of years, and he has advised that it is a straightforward job. Will we need planning permission for this, or for the installation of solar panels?
