Certificate of Lawfulness for the replacement of five existing timber-framed windows on the south elevation of the dwellinghouse with new powder-coated aluminium windows The replacement windows will be installed within the existing openings, with no alteration to the size, position, or number of window openings. The new windows will replicate the existing design and proportions, including equal horizontal divisions and Georgian-style glazing bars. The materials will change from painted timber to powder-coated aluminium (white finish), however, the external appearance will remain similar in design, proportions, colour and overall visual appearance, and consistent with the existing character of the dwellinghouse. The works do not involve any enlargement of the dwellinghouse, no extension, and no alteration to the external dimensions of the dwellinghouse. There are no changes to access, layout, hardstanding, drainage, or any other external features. The dwellinghouse is not listed and is not located within a conservation area. The proposal does not involve any works to a principal elevation fronting a highway. The proposal constitutes an alteration to an existing dwellinghouse and is considered to fall within permitted development rights under Schedule 2, Part 1, Class A of the Town and Country Planning (General Permitted Development) (England) Order 2015 (as amended).
